Men Quote Love I

Men seldom know love. That is the bias many are accusing against men. But if we look at the course of history, many men rise and fall, or fall and rise, because of love. Here is what some famous men and personalities got to say about love…

King Solomon:

“I found the one whom my soul loves.” – Song of Solomon 3:4

“Many waters cannot quench love, neither can floods drown it.” – Song of Solomon 8:7

William Shakespeare:

“Now join your hands, and with your hands your hearts.”

“Love sought is good, but given unsought is better.”

“I’ll follow you and make a heaven out of hell, and I’ll die by your hands which I love so well.”

“One half of me is yours, the other half yours –
Mine own, i would say; but if mine, then yours,
And so all yours!”

“When I saw you I fell in love, and you smiled because you knew.”

Gautama Buddha:

“You yourself,  as much as anybody in the entire universe, deserve you love and affection.”

Hatred does not cease by hatred, but only by love; this is the eternal rule.”

Nathaniel Hawthorne:

“Let men tremble to win the hand of woman, unless they win along with it the utmost passion of her heart!  Else it may be their miserable fortune, when some mightier touch than their own may have awakened all her sensibilities, to be reproached even for the calm content, the marble image of happiness, which they will have imposed upon her as the warm reality.” – The Scarlet Letter

Jose Rizal:

“He who would love much has also much to offer.”

Kahlil Gibran:
“Love has no other desire but to fulfill itself. To melt and be like a running brook that sings its melody to the night. To wake at dawn with a winged heart and give thanks for another day of loving.”

“If you love somebody, let them go, for if they return, they were always yours. And if they don’t, they never were. ”

“Life without love is like a tree without blossoms or fruit.”

“Every man loves two women;the one is the creation of his imagination and the other is not yet born.”
